Solar Eclipse in Virgo~ The Need to Nourish our Roots

Dear beautiful souls,

I hope that you have been able to survive this eclipse portal that came to a close Sunday, September 21st on the new moon in Virgo solar eclipse (same day as the Fall Equinox). Though the portal has closed, its energy will continue to ripple through the collective for weeks to come.

Eclipse portals are all about fate and destiny. It’s about some doors closing dramatically and others closing slowly, never to be reopened. This closure for many of us is permanent because that is exactly as things need to be, for now…

Fate and destiny are intangible forces at play in our lives. We might not be able to grasp them, but we can certainly feel them…

Beneath this new moon in Virgo solar eclipse, something that has been asleep deep within the earth is stirring, awakening, moving, and coming up to the surface.

A few weeks ago I spoke of the rigidity of Virgo energy when it is not harmoniously balanced with its counterpart, Pisces. So what is surfacing is the need for water.

Society and the spiritual collective have become overly focused on superficial advancement and progress: society on material consumerism, and the spiritual collective on false light teachings.

This is typical of Earth energy, which naturally values structure, stability, and tangible results. These qualities are necessary and grounding, yet when emphasized without balance, they can lead to rigidity and an overly materialistic focus.

For Earth energy to reach its highest expression, it must be integrated with another element, like Water, to bring intuition, emotion, and flow into harmony with practicality.

Virgo is ruled by Chiron, the wounded healer. Themes surrounding healing will continue to surface. But this healing cannot serve uniquely the self in a surface level, material way. It needs to be soul-deep healing that reverberates across lifetimes, bloodlines, and generations.

This is where the energy of Pisces comes into sharper focus. Virgo is the grounded earth healer and Pisces is the spiritual water healer. Both need to fuse together to reach inner wholeness.

Disbalanced Pisces can look like avoiding trauma, challenge, and illusion because the pain caused by this is just too much to bear. And so the soul can choose to cloak itself in fantasy and distortion. It can use escapism not as a supportive tool (fantasy books anyone?), but as a means to literally escape experiencing life itself. For though Chiron rules Virgo, Virgo is connected to Pisces in the astrological wheel. And so Chirotic energy is intuitively flowing into the house of Pisces. The opposite is also true. Pisces is ruled by Neptune, the king of dreams and illusions. And so this energy also flows into Virgo.

When the energies are separated, we can experience being overly rigid, stuck, stubborn, and unwilling to change. We can also seek out perfection at all costs and raise our nose to those that seem lesser than us. This is Virgo without its counterpart.

Pisces, for their part, can completely lose touch with reality. They can use anything from gaming, to drugs, alcohol, and sex to escape life because the reality of it (the pain, the hurt, the injustice) is just too much to feel.

But we need both to effectively heal. We need grace, patience, and space for Pisces and Virgo to fuse together and emerge as something anew. This something anew is the lotus blossoming in all of its beauty, radiance, and raw soul passion.

When we think of lotuses, they grow in the dark. They grow in mud, which is the combination of earth and water. The symbol of the lotus is perfect in supporting us in understanding the ethereal beauty that can emerge when we allow Virgo and Pisces to do their work alongside each other, together. For zodiac signs are not separate. They are constantly co-creating and existing side by side with one another.

With Sunday being the new moon in Virgo, the moon, completely darkened, was transiting the same house as the collective south node. The south node is the point of the past. It can create a portal by which past lives come through to facilitate healing. And yes, the resurgence of these past selves can be triggering.

This is where the gentleness of Pisces, its fierce empathy, and compassion are deeply needed.

Past lives come through the channels they feel safe enough to. These could be your own past lives or they could be collective and ancestral past lives. It’s understanding that our healing is ancestral and collective by default. We have never been separate during our healing, and this myth of separation and isolation is the greatest illusion of all coming to a close. I know because I have felt this too.

You see, I have a specific birth placement that I felt alone in carrying. This placement felt heavy and caused me to self-isolate, that is until I realized that my soul, along with the bloodline I chose to incarnate in, specifically designed these placements for a reason. This awareness shifted my gaze to a richer understanding. A sense of gratitude came through (which really took me by surprise!). I felt gratitude that my ancestors had chosen me to bear this specific placement so that I could help the bloodline heal.

This is true for you too.

If you have been feeling plagued by a certain placement, maybe it is time to call upon the ancestors. Call upon the souls that came before you, knowing that their intelligence, gifts, and wisdom also flow through you.

You have access to countless healers, shamans, witches, medicine men and women that came before you, and this is the beauty of past life ancestral work: we have never been alone in our healing.

Pisces also aids us in connecting to the unseen realms and passed-over loved ones. We therefore have complete access to our ancestors during this portal; through earth with the south node in Virgo and through water with the north node in Pisces.

We are at a time when our healing is going above the self to embrace, cherish, and call in the ancestors, viewing our own soul past lives and ancestors.

With all this ancestral potency and magic at our disposal, there is nothing we cannot do. There is nothing we cannot heal.

The energy prediction for this season at the beginning of the year was that of the healer and of awakening to our healing abilities and gifts. This eclipse portal will be highlighting just that and more.

This eclipse portal will be showing us what kind of healer we are, knowing that healing does not need to look a certain way to be effective.

And so we will be doing away with the illusions of the healer. The curated pictures we often see on social media will lose their grip, and more and more souls awakening to the healing path will be seeking genuine, authentic healing that walks the path, not out of performance, but out of true heart and authenticity.

This heart and authenticity frequency will be felt. There will be no mistaking this energy.

This is the wave of healers that will be coming to the forefront as the others fall away.

All those that put forth curated profiles, that prized perfection and image over the real, will lose the light, for the collective is not looking for illusionary healing. It is looking for the real.

This is where Pluto, ruler of the underworld, will be lending a hand to our healing journey as we shed and peel away these illusions and masks.

Pluto is the destroyer. Nothing fake, superficial, or illusionary can withstand his force. He brings ego death, shadow work, and so much more. He is the master alchemist, and he is currently transiting Aquarius, the ruler of the collective.

And so the collective is going through a purge… all the nasty things we would rather not see are coming to the surface. This is where the healing work is being done. It won’t be pretty for a long time, but it is necessary.

Healing has often been curated to be this beautiful breath of fresh air full of rainbows and unicorns, and on occasion, it so is. But on the other side, there is deep, soul-shattering pain.

This shattering is deep enough to make one fall to their knees, begging the universe for it to end, for the breakthrough to be swift. But this is not always the universe’s way.

Sometimes the most profound healing occurs when we are in withering pain, and the true healers know this deep inside.

True healers know this because they are not afraid of experiencing pain. They have come to see pain as a teacher, as an ally leading them away from things not meant for them. True healers know how to listen to the whispers of sadness, how to hold grief with tender compassion, and how to move through rage and anger like a hurricane, for they have come home to their bodies.

Their healing craft is no longer something that lives outside of them. It is not something they do. It is something they are.

They have embraced being the healer, understanding that this path is often walked without outward recognition, prize, or fanfare. They walk the path and they embody the medicine because it is their soul’s purpose to do so.

More and more true healers will be coming forward, not through ego or illusion as we have witnessed in the spiritual community for quite some time, but through heart and genuine soul.

This soul energy, pure, raw, untouched, will be bubbling to the surface. This bubbling will be the ancient waters that have been laying dormant beneath the earth’s crust. This water, deep, healing, and mysterious, will be surfacing to wash away the dream so that we may awaken to reality.

Gone will be the distortions, for this is a period of time where mass, true healing will be occurring for we are on the axis of healing with Virgo and Pisces as our guides.

The solar eclipse, a moment where the moon temporarily blocks out the sun, is a testament to this new wave. The ego, the sun, was blocked out, a shadow cast upon it by the mother, by the moon, by our collective shadow. By the deep-held emotions that we have been unwilling to face.

And so as a collective, we are initiated to purge and move through these darker aspects that have avoided healing.

Who are we when the ego dissolves and we have nothing but our soul?

Who are we when we release our mental processes to drop into our emotions?

Do we like who we are when we are there?

Do we despise being emotional, sensitive, or feeling it all too much? Or do we embrace these aspects, knowing that they are gifts, tools to be sharpened?

Can you be the healer that has a clear gaze, that takes no shit and sets boundaries, and speaks its truth with booming authority (Virgo), whilst being able to hold tenderness, love, and a vision where we all thrive (Pisces)?
