Pluto in Aquarius-The Saviorship Complex and the Need for Sovereignty

Dearest beautiful soul,

Today marks the end of a 16 years’ time period. One where we were forced to confront structures that were oppressive and disempowering so that they could be destroyed, transformed and ultimately alchemized.

Pluto’s transit in Capricorn initiated a lot of us into looking at our current institutions and government organizations to honestly see the cracks, the shortcomings and the monopolization of power. Various shadows came to the surface and were put on display, occasionally for the whole world to see. This was the purification of the physical realm.

Our internal realities were also subject to this metamorphosis. For those of us on a spiritual journey, Pluto in Capricorn forced us to look at all the internal structures, some inherited and others build, that were contributing to our own oppression. For a lot of us, this entailed deconstructing conditioning, both social and cultural. It involved looking at ancestral wounds, healing our inner child and dissolving past life traumas.

This purification process has been difficult, and for many very painful. In particular, those with heavy Capricorn placements would have felt this transit the most along with the 3 remaining cardinal signs, Aries, Libra and Cancer.

This was to teach the cardinal signs self-mastery when it comes to saturnian aspects such as self-responsibility, resilience, internal discipline and leadership. With these lessons now embodied and integrated, the cardinal signs are ready to take up more space and be seen on a bigger scale.

As Pluto now transits Aquarius, the fixed signs are now set to undergo a massive transformation. However, this transformation won’t feel as heavy, lethargic or depressing as Pluto in Capricorn. That is because we are leaving behind the dense experience of the physical (earth) to enter a lighter experience which is that of energy and ideas (air).

The cardinal signs will be leading in some areas whilst sitting back and watching the fixed signs be truly seen in others.

The cardinal signs will have to consciously choose to remain anchored in their self-mastery and inner authority, especially when confronted with another’s pain. They will have to resist the temptation of saviorship as they witness others navigate their own struggles and battles. The cardinal signs will have to be mindful of the fact that the remaining signs have their own purification to undergo and another aspect of self to master; an aspect that the cardinal signs cannot master for them.

And so, the cardinal signs will be asked to bear witness, to hold space and to gently guide when necessary only, leaving the soul before them to have their own experience.

This stepping back and allowing the other to be witnessed; witnessed in their pain, their sadness, their wounds and their fears, will be difficult for the cardinals so used to jumping in and saving. These signs will have to show restraint, understanding that it is not always about saving or fixing (and that it rarely ever is). No. much more often, it is about simple presence.

The souls undergoing the alchemical transformational process of Pluto in Aquarius will need fierce space holders who are unwavering in the face of discomfort, fear and adversity. They will need space holders who are able to stand their ground and maintain their convictions with integrity, discernment and embodied alignment within their mind, heart and soul.

It is these space holders who will be the next wave of powerful change-makers, leading and assisting others by displaying their mastery, not by saving anyone from themselves. These space holders intimately understand that in order to hold space for another’s fear, discomfort and pain, they too must be able to hold space for their own.

The space holder that can adequately hold themselves and all of their experiences, be they good, positive, ugly, uncomfortable or downright terrifying, will be successful in holding others and allowing their divinity to radiate through for the soul always shines.

The soul is our perfected essence. It is sovereign. And it is this inherent sovereignty within the soul that space holders must be willing to call forward. An embodied space holder trusts and deeply understands that the soul before them has always been, and will always be, sovereign. While the individual may need guidance to uncover and remember this truth, the sovereignty of their soul has always been present, enduring and persisting in the way only a soul can.

And so the space holder must also endure and persist. If the soul before them is called to navigate chaos, the space holder's role is to hold space for that chaos, remaining by the soul’s side and not giving into saving them from it. The soul before them has the power to save themselves and the space holder must see that they do. Not by intervening and ending the chaos but by reminding the soul of their own innate strength, resilience and power.

When a space holder can effectively initiate remembrance within a soul of its innate sovereignty, the soul’s inner light and power will shine through like the most magnificent of suns.

This is the energy we will be moving through over the next 2 decades while Pluto transits Aquarius.

Saviorship will be rising to the surface to be alchemically transformed and purified, bringing forth the reminder that all souls are first and foremost sovereign, and that in the truth of the all, no one is in need of saving.

Divine service has always been first and foremost to the soul. The soul has always been sovereign. And so genuine servitude must guide us back to this sovereignty, understanding that is the only true gateway to our liberation and ever-lasting peace.

And so it is…
